Delighted to share that our littlest guys are all worming and squirming throughout the whelping room now with little eyes peeping, with the biggest bellies as Ayla is keeping them super well fed! Our adopted Litter D, born on St Patricks Day, are growing faster than I can blink or take photos... So far the daily routine involves giving them each an all over "body massage" to have them comfortable with being touched on paws and ears and tail and belly and used to being placed on their backs and in the air, all to desensitize and generate confidence and trust. They hear the background noise of household activities and people coming and going and have had a few car trips already to ensure that basic experiences are becoming part of everyday life for them.
We are still taking applications for our four girls and three boys, but have started reaching out to our shortlisted families. We are also looking for ways to promote our intention of a donation pup if there's a worthy home. We'd like to present this pup as an Ambassador for Apex Winters Wind, so will be considering homes that have a compelling plan- Service Dog/Perf0rmance and story for us! If you think you apply or know a family that does please reach out! In the meantime please enjoy the first portrait sessions of these little witchety grubs, and also adding pictures of all four grandparents courtesy of Trebons Berger Blanc of Denmark and Surefire Shepherds here in Washington, just because I thought it would be fun :).
